Tasks:

• Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals associated to the purchasing activity
• Lead risk assessment process to ensure organizational needs are met and optimized
• Develop and maintain working relationships with suppliers and customers to maintain adequate source of supply
• Identify the issues and assisting with resolution to fulfill internal and external procurement requirements on medium dollar contracts
• Direct the emergency response process to respond to customer emergencies
• Assist  in development and implementation  of procurement and material management quality initiatives and process improvement programs
• Identify and obtain cost improvement of purchased materials and services through negotiation and process improvements
• Develop understanding of value analysis
• Coordinate the team activities and manage the absence and primary task assignment when manager is not available
• Monitor supplier capacities and performance to meet customer requirements and internal plans
• Maintain and distribute weekly KPI reporting

Requirements:

• Strong analytical and contract negotiation skills
• React proactively to bring the solution to the issues and support the team objectives
• Prior MRO, industrial services sourcing experience required
• Ability to coach small team of junior buyers/procurement team members
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) both inside and outside of company
• Good ability to learn the MS Dynamics, Coupa and other tools used in the company
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically MS Excel
